In the spirit of social responsibility of prevention horizons, a workshop was held entitled

(Drug-free working environments)

(Drug-free workplace)

At madareem Crown Hotel in Riyadh

In the presence of 39 experts in the field of countering the phenomenon of drugs from various relevant sectors and specialists in the field of Occupational Health and safety, the workshop aimed to:

–          Identify the concept of institutional security and the risks of abuse on work institutions.

–          Identify the risks of substance abuse to mental and general health.

–          Identify the foundations of studying and monitoring the problem in the work environment.

–          Methodology of planning to counteract the phenomenon of drugs in the work environment.

–          Foundations, standards, policies and programs of security, protection, abuse screening, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and harm reduction.

–          International and global models and experiments to protect work environments from drug abuse.

It should be noted that prevention horizons intends to implement a number of health programs to strengthen and improve procedures to protect occupational safety from the abuse of psychotropic substances in cooperation with government and private beneficiary institutions.

It also intends to provide a special course for the benefit of associations concerned with the prevention and treatment of addiction.
